WTB cowl screw u-nut

I need a nut like in the pic. I somehow misplaced one... It clips onto the cab under the cowl on the top and one of the 4 small screws threads into it.

Re: WTB cowl screw u-nut

I think the one in your picture is from the glovebox...I took some off the other day and they were not as long, almost square with tab on top covering only half of the screw hole.

Randy, my glovebox has the ones you describe. I had the ones in my pic with the screws for the cowl with the captive washer, but it is possible that they are not the correct ones for the cowl.

Re: WTB cowl screw u-nut

Post a pic of what you have on the glovebo now.

I believe the dash bezel has ones like I described for the cowl panel but The cowl panel takes a larger screw, #10 vs dash screws which I think are #8.

Here is what I took off when I removed the glovebox liber. It had been replaced at one time, it was kept original.

Re: WTB cowl screw u-nut

That’s what I took off he cowl the other day but like I said the dash bezel has something similar. I need to install a cowl tomorrow or so, I’m gonna remove one and see what it has for j clips and compare to the dash ones because the screw is larger I think. I will post up what I find.

Also overlooked is the Lowe’s hardware section. A couple rows of automotive items. All kinds of body hardware

Randy thank you for posting that. It looks like I need three of those and possibly all four screws then.
