Looking for a pair of front backing plates for a k20 4x4. I want the solid ones. Thanks

I used a pair of those to make the backing plates for my rear discs. They shouldn't be too hard to come by.

Still can't find the right rotors. I had a set of Jeep Cherokee like you said, but they had 5 on 4 3/4 lugs. So I am still looking for a set with 5 on 5, maybe old caddy? Any ideas?

Are you going to do another conversion too?

Putting discs on the 1970 Blue and white GMC. I really do not know what the rotors on the bronze and white GMC came off of. The parts jockey at Autozone told me Jeep, but I am not sure if he graduated the 9th grade. Go to a parts store and ask to look at their rotor book that shows them by size and lug pattern. I am sure I do not have any info on them, but I will check. Good luck

78-80 cadillac seville disc should work for you.

here is a pic of my progress so far. 72 addict gave me the idea, and I happened to have a spare set of backing plates sitting around.

rear ... perhaps the fronts are the same. But rear ones will work.

Hey jmanz69 I did not notice it when you sent me the pics the first time but, the bleeder on the caliper is supposed to point up. This makes it so the bleeder is higher than the piston in the caliper and all the air will not "pocket" in the piston. Also I used rubber hose at each caliper so changing pads would not be a problem.

I think I had the wrong caliper on the side I was fitting, but I was just trying to see what it would look like. I will be sure I put them on the correcr side when I finally put them together. I palnned on rubber hose, especially since the caliper has to be able to move as the pads wear. I haven't done any plumbingnyet, still on the mechanical part. Thanks for noticing though. I might not have til after I put it all together.
