Re: stepside differences
Yup...same main box...dates back to '54. The main thing you will run into is the mounting holes for the '68 fenders...pretty sure they dont match the later fender mounting points...not a deal breaker, though.

Re: stepside differences
I'd say they're good...are you needing to replace the besides? Otherwise, I'd find the steps & use those as a reference to find the new holes for the '68 fenders. I'd weld up the ones you dont need, finish the filled areas and do your paint work.

Re: stepside differences
Try GMC Paul. He's one of us, board member, 67-72 owner, and an honest guy, who avoids shoddy products.
Another difference between the 67-72s and the Squarebodies was the side steps. On the later trucks, they're hardly anything. On the "NewBreed" trucks you get a decent step. One you can stand on with both feet, or hang a gas can or water cooler. Since it needs to bear a greater load, there may be more supports and braces involved.

Re: stepside differences
Looks like you have a nice hard running truck. Any more details available?

Re: stepside differences
There is more to it than just drilling some new holes to mount the fenders though. Palf70step detailed the whole deal with his. I'll see if I can find it for you. That is to do it proper. Here you go.

Re: stepside differences
Thank you for setting my over-simplification straight, Boog. I didn't realize there was quite that much work involved....I do learn so much on this site & I greatly appreciate it!

Re: stepside differences
Impressive sir that's about a 10:00 quarter. Well done!
One more off topic question? What vehicle did you get your air dam off of?
