1964 driver door adjustment

Does anyone know of a way to adjust the latch on the driver-side door, to make the closed door more flush with the cab? My door closes and latches easily and securely, yet always looks slightly "open" and not flush with the rest of the cab. how can this be adjusted?
Thanks!

More than likely all you will need to do is loosen your striker plate and move it straight in and then try it put a piece of tape across the top and bottom to help with alignment if it closes good now you don’t want to accidentally move your striker plate up or down the that Tape will help you with alignment

Re: 1964 driver door adjustment

Actually it's highly likely that the latch mechanism in door is worn, which can allow 1/8" or more slop due to wear. This wear results in having to push doors further inward to get it to latch when closing ( common cause of hard to close doors when new seals have been installed ) and after doors closed the play from the wear in it allows the door outer edge to sag back out. Open door and check door latch for outside to inside play in latch mechanism that engages the striker. If it's bad moving striker in will flush up door but will make doors harder to close.

Re: 1964 driver door adjustment

Well hopefully it only needs adjusted even if the latch is worn a little you can always try it
