Broken Rear Cab Mount Bushing Bolt

'70 Chevy C10 stepside/shortbed 2wd.

Hey Chevy fans! Changing really old cab mount bushings. The PO had the bolt break off up in the hole on the drivers rear side. He put in the top bushing and then welded a bracket in. Pics below show the new upper bushing in.

My inside cab resto is done so I'd really (understatement) rather not have go in from the top inside the cab. lol

Any ideas out there how to get that bolt out?

If you lift the cab, get the bushing out, how much of the bolt is there to grab?...Spray pb blaster, up into the threads...soak repeat for a couple days. Knock on it upside down with a punch to loosen it. If there is no bolt to grab then you will need an EZ out. Drill up in ctr 1/2" -3/4" with drill size smaller than tool...hard place to get at, if this is a desert truck, bolt should not be rusted badly. If you can get vise grips on it work it back and forth, spray soak repeat.

The upper nut is caged and under the fuel tank , If your lucky you have a rear mounted tank if not your going to have to pull the tank or try the jacking up the frame and removing the bushing to see if you can back out the broken bolt with vise grips . No fun either way . Do you have the rest of the bushing to install once you remove the broken bolt ?

I really appreciate the replies.

The fuel tank is in the cab. I don't ever remember seeing the open nutplate from inside the cab so many thanks for the photo.

The bolt doesn't extend out of the hole below enough to grab it. I'm hoping my mechanic can get the mount out and then cut the metal around the nutplate from below to get a grip on the bolt and get that stubborn thing out of there.

I do have all the new bushings and hardware to include a new bolt on hand.
