Gear box upgrade
I’m looking to replace my power steering gearbox on my 72 c10. Planning on going with a quick ratio unit and have it narrowed down to either a cpp or a redhead is the quality the same between these 2 ??

Re: Gear box upgrade
I looked in to both a while back as I need to replace mine soon. If I remember right redhead had more positives. If you do a search you'll find several threads on it.

Re: Gear box upgrade
I always use a factory rebuilt box for a 1979 model. It's closer ratio than a stock 68-72, but comfortable to drive. Unless you are going to autocross it these work fine.
Summit has them on sale. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...olet/model/c10
