Took the plunge on Dakota Dash
After much research and back and forth I've settled on the Dakota Digital (vhx) dash for my 85. I wanted something that retained a somewhat period correct look while providing modern function/features. In the end the cost ($750) isn't bad compared to similar options. I have other DD products and the quality is A+!
I'm going with the classic black background with white pointers/numbers that lights blue at night. I really like the many features this has especially, the programmable warning lights. They have a higher option model (HDX) but that seems overkill and expensive in my case. Now I'm just waiting on the big brown truck to show up! Last edited by SunSoaked; 03-04-2019 at 04:51 PM. |

It sounds like you may have already ordered your gauages, but take a look at these ones as well. Still Dakota Digital but have a squarebody look. I have bought these for my build (not installed yet).

Re: Took the plunge on Dakota Dash
Not sure if you looked at my link - its not the same as what you posted. Its a custom run with the squarebody font and styling.

Re: Took the plunge on Dakota Dash
My apologies. I did not catch that the first time. I see that now. It's not bad. I wish they would lose the 160 speedo. 85 would be perfect.

Re: Took the plunge on Dakota Dash
Look at the RTX series. All the features with a stock look and numbering. They are about 1200 though...
