Battery?

Ok here is my problem: I started my truck fine in the morning, it was pretty cold so it was a little sluggish but started on the first 5 sec try. I let it warm up for awhile and then it idled down and this is when the problems started. I got in and turned on my lights to go and my stereo turned off! I said whatever and turned my lights off and went down the street, all seemed fine so I turned them on again. Pulled up to the stop sign and had to wait and my stereo turned off again! And it did this for the next few stops but went away once I got going on the freeway. I’m thinking it is a weak battery? What are your thoughts?

I just had to replace my alternator and battery due to similar circumstances. It sounds like your alternator is going bad. Once the truck is running your battery isn't powering the lights and radio the alternator is producing the electrical power.

It sounds like the internal voltage regulator inside the alternator is bad.
