Brake dust shield clearance with 2.5" drop spindles?
71 C-10
Mostly sure these are the original dust shields. The spindles Early Classic's 2.5" drop. Any reason to believe they'll contact the control arm on the road? How about with the weight on the tires? From here I can't see how they'd move, but I'd rather they didn't cut into the control arm. Suppose I could bend them a pinch. Just curious what you guys think/experienced. Ball joints are torqued within specs. Thanks. Captions intended for ECE......

If it fits it ships! That's pretty close, I'd be inclined to clearance them. I know you want to leave them untouched with your "over-the-top" restoration. BTW, I enjoy watching you work!

Yeah, not sure what to do about the dust shields yet. I like them a lot ECE didn't seem to know they were THAT close. They already suggested to perhaps bend them. They asked for pics since, I sent them, maybe they'll respond. Nice place to work with. Clearance May change with the weight on the tires. May be for the worse too, I don't rightly know. Not even ready to install brakes. Por-15 Caliper black pending receipt. I didn't know rotors had races My first front brake job, go figure

They will be fine just close, I wouldn't worry about it.
