LCA mount/bushing install help

I'm trying to replace my LCA mounting arms/bushings etc. I have stock LCA's. Is there an actual correct method of installing the mounting arms onto/into the LCA's. I tried putting the mount inside the LCA with the bushings on the mount then tightening the outer caps but the caps seems to get bound up on the LCA.
Iv'e searched the forum but can't seem to find a good how to thread that details the process.
