Lowering with stock wheels

I’m wanting to lower my truck and put 6 lug disc on the front any body have any suggestions on a brand for a disc brake conversion? And also how much to lower it. I want to run stock 15” wheels and caps if I can

My understanding is that disc brakes will not fit stock wheels. Lots of discussion on which brand is best. Most spindles offer stock and 2" drop, then you can use springs or air bags to go lower. Use the search function or google like this: "66 C10 disc brake conversion site:67-72chevytrucks.com"

You can, kinda. In order to run a stock wheel and cap look with disc brakes you would need one of two things:

1. A used 6 lug steel wheel from the 73-84 year trucks. These year trucks came with disc brakes and so the stock wheel has the proper offset to fit disc brakes and the nubs to accept the dogdish hubcap

2. Buy a brand new 6 lug steel wheel now made by Wheel Vintiques:

On stock wheels, you wanna find, I believe from '72 Blazer wheels. Go to any salvage yard and if you're lucky, you'll find some. Best way to tell from the front is they have 4 nubs for the caps instead of 3. The reason is, your stock 3 nubs have a certain degree offset where as the 4 nubs are more squared. I hope you're picturing this, but that's where lowered spindle disc brakes tend to rub on the caliper.
Yes, another option is Wheel Vintiques, but not sure if your stock caps work. Never tried myself.
On brands, I used McGaughy's kit. Great product so far.
