Re: BIG BLOCK valve train

I know a sb has shorter rods. The lifters are taller. Would assume the same on a bb.

Re: BIG BLOCK valve train

You would need shorter pushrods if they are hydraulic roller lifters. Solid roller lifters are usually the same height as flat tappet lifters.

Re: BIG BLOCK valve train

Try and by the entire it from same supplier....

Pushrod lengths vary from manufacturer to manufacturer....

BEWARE.....

Make absolutely sure the lifter sets go in the correct way....I have had several "professional builders" install big block roller lifters oriented the wrong way...really quick death to both lifter and cam....makes a huge metal dust mess...

Best advice you will have all week.

I put the Comp SK kit in my 427. Some report the Comp lifters are not the best, but I guess I'll find out...
