Custom custom/deluxe emblem

nothing big, just some emblems.
i bought these emblems shortly after i got my crew. got them at the GM dealer 16-18 yrs ago when they still had sq body stuff.
bought them in anticipation of a new paint job....who knew they'd be sitting on my shelf till almost 2020..


installing them was a bit of a pia. back then my paint job did'nt have a lift or Bushwacker cut-out flares, so they won't fit anywhere near the stock positions.
in anticipation of this, i welded up the factory holes and modded the emblems.
first (and this did'nt hurt too bad) i ground off the mounting tabs and used 3M body tape. second mod was tuff to do, not as in actually hard to do, but as in "i'm cutting up factory stock issue emblems...that i paid over 200 clams for"
dr side emblem i just moved it up and back to fit, no probs, pass side the "30" and the "sunburst" would not fit no matter what.
a left and a right emblem would have been nice....as i build a lot of models though, working with plastic is no big deal.
now i got a left and a right
