Visiting USofA junkyard recommendations
So coming over to USA in December/January - for a family holiday but trying to inter link it with some trucks stuff. We are going to be in California/ Nevada/Utah /Arizona and want to visit a classic car:truck pick-n-pull / junkyard to get some bits for my truck.
Coming from London uk I have know idea where to start looking apart from the internet. So dessertvalleyautos is already on the list ; ) I just wondered if the good folks on here have any recommendations ? Many thanks in advance Dan Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Visiting USofA junkyard recommendations
Thats a lot of area to cover...perhaps you would be better served to subscribe and list a WTB post detailing the parts you are looking for...
You can also look at Trucks for Sale sections on each year forum to get an idea of what is available... Suggest you check into export / import requirements for parts...brokers needed etc???? Hope this helps

Hidden Valley Auto Parts in Maricopa, AZ has a very good inventory of older stuff.

I guess I was just throwing it out there to see what was suggested and I could cram into our route - i forsee a few problems for sure...... 1 - It’s a family road trip 2 - it’s just before Christmas so things may well be shut for the holiday period 3 - were covering a large area 4 - it’s a FAMILY road trip ..... As for shipping/customs etc all covered because I’m always shipping things over ( this darn truck ; ) !! ) Got an agent I use which at least make one thing easier .... unless heavens forbid I find a new project ....shhhhh!!! Re: Visiting USofA junkyard recommendations
Visit member tkorinek he parts these trucks and will be able to gather what ever you want by then. He will also be a lot cheaper than any classic car junk yard you’ll find out here.

Re: Visiting USofA junkyard recommendations
If your in southern California Mojave desert area, Hwy 395, check out the town of Pearsonville for Pearson Auto wrecking. Last time I was there about 15 years ago, they had quite of few older trucks 40's 50's 60's of various makes that have been sitting out in the desert for many years. I would call if there still open.
