What’s the deal with bed sides for 73-87?

I talked to a guy at Classic Parts in KC a couple weeks ago - he thought they were going to get a shipment of bedsides in 4-5 months. Didnt know any other information on if it was new tooling or not. I also asked a shop that deals just in classic truck parts if he had heard anything and he said they were working on a "restoration" quality bedside, but its at least a year or more away.

Have you checked with AMD or if you have a friend at a bodyshop somewhere?

I was told the dyes are worn out and someone mentioned they got one of the last sets and it fit really bad

I see more Genuine Used Rust free ones than Aftermarket and usually half the price.
I've seen a Few NOS Bedsides but there wanting $1500 per
