63 C10 gas pedal conversion questions
I'm starting to work on my 63 Fleetside project and I'd like to get rid of the mechanical stock linkage and get a drive by wire setup. I'll be running a 283 tripower with a 200r4 trans.
The location of the stock pedal assembly is in a weird place...it not flat on the floor but more on the side of the trans tunnel or should I say next to it. Anyone using a drive by wire setup? If so for what model year vehicles did they get it from??.post some pics too. They really help! Thanks in advance.. |

Re: 63 C10 gas pedal conversion questions
I probably should have asked if anyone used or knows of a pedal conversion that uses a cable instead of the stock linkage on my 63 C10. As mentioned,I'll be running a 283 with tri power and a 200R4.

Re: 63 C10 gas pedal conversion questions
I used a squarebody pedal, but it did not fit the best. I would use the 71-72 pedal if I did it again

Mine is a 65. It’s hard to get in a photo but it is above and to the left of the uneven spot

Re: 63 C10 gas pedal conversion questions
No issues with the pedal being where it is? Looks like a nice set up. I'm trying to find something closer to a stock look...but I'll keep looking. Have you seen anyone use the old stock pedal on a new cable set up??
