Ho52 wheel bearing torque
I looked up the torque in my shop manual page 690 it says to torque the inner nut to 50-60 ft lbs . Then adjust nut backoff 1/8 to align tang on nut lock . Outer nut to 175 ft lbs. But it says this is for barrel roller bearings . Mine looks to have been replaced with tapered bearings. I can't see going that tight on a tapered bearing. Any advise as to proper torque or do I do it like the fronts . Tighten to drag then back off to lock in.

Re: Ho52 wheel bearing torque
The 10.5” floating 14 bolt uses tapered bearings and you torque them to 50 then back them off and set the lock washer like above. The outer Then gets 100 if I remember right. I don’t think 50-60 is too much personally. If your talking about the outer nut I’d do what the manual says there.

Re: Ho52 wheel bearing torque
off the subject but where do you get this so called manual? I'm sure LCM has it or Brothers, any alternatives?
