I have a 67 Chevelle wheel on my 71 C-10 that I refinished and leather wrapped it. I also re did my 64 SS wheel. I have a 67 truck wheel I'm re doing also. I cut it off and made it smaller. I stopped working on it over Christmas and just haven't gotten back on it yet. I I also fixed a original wood steering wheel for the 64 Impala and it's the one I like the best. These wheels fit the truck columns are the car columns of the 60,70's.
The SS Impala wheel. ![]() The custom horn cap I made for it. Here is the wheel in the ramp truck. Corvette wheel with another custom cap I made.

Re: impala steering wheel
Impala wheel is the same dia. as the stock wheel.... a little BIG but comfortable for steering with 2 fingers while resting my elbow on the arm rest or console on the seat. Couldn't do that with the small wood rim Grant in the truck before. I shortened the steering column moving the wheel closer to the dash. Get the smaller repro, I used this original 'cause it's the right color, I got a pretty good deal on it and it's in fair shape... kinda patina.

Re: impala steering wheel
Rustybucket, that looks awesome, I think I'll go with the 15inch,that's what I was wondering if there was any issues in installing, I'm not lazy by no means but I have done so much retrofitting and fab work in the past, the older I get the more I like bolton's. Cool cat.

Re: impala steering wheel
Thanks Rooster, I've always liked the '59/'60 Impala wheels. When I was about 8yrs. old My Uncle bought a '59 Impala 348 4spd. & I remember the red steering wheel. I'd imagine that your repro wheel's installation should be pretty easy and have instructions.
The cat & his litter mate brother are both pretty cool inside/outside cats. Kyle & Bushie are BIG, weigh 18-19lbs apiece. They're on the hood of my '02 GMC crewcab in the picture. They're about 7yrs. old.

Re: impala steering wheel
68 and earlier GM car wheels work on the 67-72 trucks.
In 69 the ignition moved to the column for the locking mechanism and the steering wheel hubs got bigger.

Re: impala steering wheel
That is true, but post-68s still bolt on. It depends on the wheel whether it looks ok being bigger than hub. The problem would be a 68-earlier on a post-68, looking at the exposed hub behind the wheel (if wheel center is small like most). Post-72 trucks have locking column and truck wheels all the way up to airbags look fine for fitment. The view from the driver's seat is all you see

Re: impala steering wheel
Thanks everyone for the info, my truck has a early 90's wheel now, I like the comfort and it's the perfect size. Why can't I leave anything alone? Hats off to the guys who are content, haha.
