NAPA '75* C20 replacement hoses. There is a mounting clip on the hose you'll want to pry off. But these hoses are longer and are just what you need w/o any added hype. They do what the hoses the factory installed did for all those years. Stop the truck and feel just fine. When I ordered the ORD 'kit' I found the rear hose was wrong and not usable. It comes with the wrong ends. Maybe they got that right by now, but I've seen others post having the same issue here.

* That's the year I am used to asking for... any mid-70s C20 will fit. I use '75 because that's what year Vette HEI plug wires I always ask for. They think I have a whole bunch of vehicles

I ran into this same problem with my 70 k2500. I was looking all over for some lines that would have the extra length but found nothing that wasn't outrageously expensive. I resorted to taking a small hard brake line and routing it from the splitter block, through the frame rail, and attached to a small metal bracket I welded to the frame. This gave me an extra 4-5 inches so now I can go through the whole range of motion without pulling at the hose.

Be aware if you get braided steel lines some of them use AN fittings. From my experience it can pretty tough to get it hooked up on the weekend, adapting from NPT to AN is not usually something any parts place can help with.

I've used the c10/20 lines many times on lifted 4x4s, works great. They are so long because they are routed along the lower control arm in the factory application.

My 71 K1500 has only a 2" tuff country spring lift (I think it's closer to 4"), and my stock front hoses were to short. I took my stock front hose to Indianapolis Spring Co. and they made me 2 new ones right to the length I requested. The brass fitting wasn't exactly like the original but it works just fine. Little pricey, but I was trying to keep original look if possible.

That’s what ive always done with trucks with 6 inch lifts. 15 years on off-road trucks and plenty of flexing without any issues

The simple inexpensive works perfectly solution has been given... mid-70s C20 factory replacement brake hoses. No need for custom, extra unions, or expensive fancy looking braided stainless with incorrect ends. Just go to your parts supplier and carry home what you need and buy some pizza with the money you saved.

yep Tim i took your advice and bought the 75 c20 hoses at napa for 18.00 bucks each, work great, so i bought a new set for my blazer. thanks bud.

No problem, Jamie. Glad to help. How was that pizza? This is one thing I love about playing with these trucks and having others on this site who do the same. Before the internet the same stuff happened, but the word gets out across the board compared to one on one face to face. These little "tricks" are great to learn. Information not even known by your local parts experts. There's no book on this stuff, we teach each other.

Good to know. I think it's pretty much any '70s disc brake 8-lug 2wd. You get the ends you need and they are longer for routing through the a-arm suspension and allowing for travel.

lots of times i cut the bracket and bend it down for a few extra inch on the stock hose .

Not sure about the back. I've never had to change one. When I did my K/20 Highlander 6" lift is when I bought the Braided Stainless "kit" from ORD, which was from Skyjacker. All my other lifts have been 4" with no need for longer hose. I'd just do the relocated bracket sd Sweet K30 mentioned. The rear hose was all wrong in the braided kit and I had one made, IIRC, by Inline Tube. Or maybe it was I used the hose but got a junction block that made the hose work out. The hose had wrong size fitting and was female instead of male. Pretty poor excuse for correct application. Way off. You can have hoses made where they make hydraulic lines. It's not so pricey

Stumbled across this thread and thought I’d add some info for big lifts. I used hoses for a 91 P30 with I-beam front suspension. NAPA numbers 38286, 35” long vs 20” so the provide plenty of room for big lifts with lots of flex.

On mine I am using the factory brake hoses connected to a six inch piece of hard brake line going through the frame to the junction blocks. I made a small bracket out of a piece 1 inch wide X .125 inch thick steel that I welded to the frame and connected the hard line to it by running it through a drilled hole and securing with a line nut. This way I can stay cheap and run factory lines that are readily available at parts stores while also having enough slack in the line to turn lock to lock and full droop with a 4" lift.

Was the rear line included? When I bought that set-up the rear hose was all wrong. Had to have a custom hose made. So a lot more than $100
