Hard Starting When Cold
i have a rebuilt 350 in my truck. in the mornings, when its really cold(about -15c) i cant get the truck to start. it floods out really easily. When warm, it starts like a charm, but when cold it just doesnt happen. does this sound like a choke prolbem? im not sure waht goes on. timing is set at 10degrees btdc. any help appreciated

Yep it sounds like a choke problem too me. What type of carbuerator do you have? is it electric or manual choke? If its electric make sure you're getting 12 volts on your hot wire and that you're ground wire is nice clean and tight. If its manual just close the plate manually and don't pump it so much. Just one or two pumps then try it. If it still don't take just floor it then try to spin it and see what you get.

im running a q-jet. how do i adjust the choke on my carb? i need some help here. it sucks not being able 2 start it

Im having a similar problem as well. I started mine and checked it out the choke is not coming off enough to allow the engine to run properly(too much choke) but im sure how or if it can be adjusted?...
