Where to plumb proportioning valve?
I converted to Hydroboost a few years ago, using all components from the same truck. Unfortunately, I can’t find my notes to tell you what year. I believe it was an ‘86 3/4 ton, but not positive. Also used lines from a 73-87 truck ran down to a combination valve. I have disk brakes on front (slid in a 73-87 full crossmember), and a 14 bolt rear with the big drum brakes.
Brakes work well, but the rear locks before the front, and I would like to install an adjustable proportioning valve. Should this be plumbed in after the combination valve? Also, I have Wilwood D52 calipers up front and would like to use a Wilwood prop valve, anyone have a recommended part number? |

Re: Where to plumb proportioning valve?
I’ve used one like this.
https://www.tmrcustoms.com/ca/brake-...hoCkdgQAvD_BwE Plumbed in within a few inches of the prop valve on the rear line works best. |

Re: Where to plumb proportioning valve?
Thanks, geezer. So you mean plumb it in AFTER the combination valve on the rear brake line, correct? Not between the master cylinder and the combination valve on the rear brake line.

Re: Where to plumb proportioning valve?
Agreed. After the combo valve.
