Engine identification

Can someone please help me with finding a source for the correct engine stamped number on the passengers side front landing on the motor for a 64 suburban, that is equipped with a 283/ power glide. What is the correct suffix for the vehicle? Thank You in advance

Re: Engine identification

It would be easier for you to post what is in your suburban.

Re: Engine identification

Haven't purchased the burb yet. I was trying to figure out what the stamped suffix should be for it before buying. Just checking to make sure the engine is factory correct. Thanks
