Stepside tailgate hinge (trunnion) and bolt will not fit!

Please see the video link below! This truck came with a bunch of new parts and when I tried to put the trunnion in the new tailgate it won't fit AT ALL ..... AND the bolt is too large to go through the hole in the brand new bed side panel. When I look up the trunnion part online the pictures are identical to what I have. So I think I have the right parts. Anyone run into this? . It's a stepside 70 c10. Help! Need advice

What is the diameter of the trunnion and the size of the bolt?

Re: Stepside tailgate hinge (trunnion) and bolt will not fit!

So I was paranoid that I had the wrong trunion but I dove into it and used a rasp to grind out the inside of the tailgate hole where the trunion fits into. with about 15 to 20 minutes worth of grinding little bits of metal and burrs where it was very roughly manufactured I was able to smack them in. Then I beat on them side to side to allow more room. in the end they fit fine. then I enlarged the bed side holes for the bolts.
