sold my 72 super
well i made a really tough decision recently and sold my 72 super along with most of the N.O.S. parts i have gathered over the past 30 years. it was not an easy decision but i put what i felt was a price that would scare most people away from it-$13,000.00- and ended up with two guys wanting it. the guy that bought it has around 80 trucks, maybe more, and i let him have it. it is still here but he will pick it up in the near future, after harvest season is done. i plan on keeping my suburban for now but it may have to go too if my health issues don't improve

Re: sold my 72 super
Im surprised you didn't have more people pounding down your door at that price. Seems like a really sweet deal!

Yeah, I'd have paid 15k! Just kidding - does sound like a fair price for you and buyer - yes, it's a VERY hard decision sometimes. I've never bought to flip, so whenever I do sell one, it's like losing an old dog.

Re: sold my 72 super
i bought it back in 1989 for 1200 bucks, put in a lot of options and gathered lot's of N.O.S. stuff but declining health issues made it impossible to work on it anymore. it'll still be here awhile so i can look at it every day till harvest season is over for my buddy that bought it.

Re: sold my 72 super
Jerry, sorry you had to let it go. I can definitely relate with the health issues side of it. Not that it makes any easier, but at least it sounds like it will be in good hands.

Re: sold my 72 super
Jerry, I'm sorry to hear you are getting rid of your long time truck. It's worse to hear you have health issues that have brought this move on. At least the truck won't be lonely and will be resting inside. I hope your health holds out longer than you are thinking, and surely would be glad to see you get your Suburban done to enjoy.

Re: sold my 72 super
I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I've been having issues myself. But at least the truck is going to a good home. I'm glad that the burb is getting done. Best wishes my friend. PM me if you need/want some help or someone to talk to.
