1966 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup
Hello, I recently purchased a 1966 Chevy 3/4 ton truck.
The rear wheels are 16.5” with the hubcap tabs on the inside. The front wheels are 16” with the nubs on the outside. I assume they are not the original wheels. The shop manual doesn’t note 16.5” wheels. Can somebody please clue me in on what the original wheels for this truck should be and what size hubcaps I should be looking for? Thank you. Welcome to the forum! I moved your post to the 60-66 truck board so that your question can be properly answered.

Usually 16" and the normal tire size would have been 7.50-16, probably split rims.

Re: 1966 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup
Standard wheels on a '66 C 20 were 17.5 solid. Optional were 16" 2 piece, 17" 3 piece and 19.5" solid. All have clips. The 16.5 clip style was a special order in '66, however they became a standard option in '67 and '68. '69 and newer C 20 16.5" wheels have bumps. 16" C 20 wheels with bumps came on the scene in the mid 70's. The 16.5" first became available in the aftermarket around '63 and became very popular on period camper pickups, as seen on rear on this photo. 8 lug wheels with clips require an 8 3/4" back side of hubcap opening.
