Making the most of cut doors with color-matched speaker grilles

Guy before me made several questionable modifications, I'm trying to make the best of them. So....much....better (IMO)

Definitely looks better.

One thing I did was add a small sub to take a lot of the bass/vibrations out of the 6x9’s in the door.

Looks great!
I think I want to go this route.

Where or how did you get the speaker or speaker cover in blue to match the paint?

I bought color-matched spray paint from here:
https://www.automotivetouchup.com/

I think any plastic or metal speaker grille will work just fine. I bought the ones that originally came with my speakers from here:
https://www.amazon.com/Focal-Pair-Sp...gateway&sr=8-2

I masked off the emblem and applied the paint in like 10 very light coats to keep it from blocking the perf holes. The end result is really nice.

That's definitely an improvement. While probably still functional, it doesn't look nearly as intrusive.

Good job!

OK, now you've picked my interest. door does look much better, but I'd like to see more of the truck. if your door looks that good then the rest of the truck most be amazing

nice 72
