met Rod today
So I was at my local wrrecking yard pulling a l-6 powersteering pump/bracket set from a late '70ies nova when this guy comes up to me & sez in a Slingblade voice "mmmmmmm...what ya gettinn?" I told him an l-6 ps setup & he asked "what 'cha puttin in?.....mmmmmmm" i told him my 67 gmc & he asked me what my screen name was on the 67-72 website was-it turned out to be Rod. Small world because he was doing the same thing-pulling a l-6 ps setup! we chatted & I froze cause its avery kold wind out there today. I'm just kidding about the slingblade voice, Rod seems like a solid guy. Nice ta meet a fellow board member!

Yep, it was a 6 cyl ps day out there in the cold. We got the two that were there today. I already ran the numbers on my pullies and such and they were truck ones....but I figured it would work even before I pulled them. I grabbed it all... pullies, harmonic type pulley, lower pulley, belts, rear PS brace. I had a little easier time getting my parts cause another guy was stripping the sub frame of the car for a 55 chev truck he was helping a friend build... so the front clip was off when I got there ...so I had no rad to fight with and the lower pulleys were really easy to get too. So my GMC sub 3/4 4x4 6 cyl will have PS I suppose soon as the warm weather gets back here.
It was unique to meet (Greg) another board member stripping the same parts at the same yard. Nice enough guy too...he knew I had it easier. Hmmmm need some french fried taters. (slingblade voice)

What yard were you guys at? I usually frequent Bucks, but it is usually picked over and not many of our trucks. I am also interested in second generation camaros as well.

I was there about two three weeks ago, and there were no trucks there. Do they have any now worth checking out?
