Cast iron looking spray paint?

I have a new master cylinder (raw cast) and a brake booster (raw steel) that I would like to paint with that spray paint that looks like nice fresh cast iron. Just wondering what others are using. I see POR-15 makes a "detail paint" in various colors including Cast Gray. Not cheap though.

I use Dupli-Color Cast Coat Iron Engine Spray Paint, have used it for years on master cylinders and on my Saginaw power steering gear. Looks good, easy to clean, usually do 3 light coats so not to fill up casting surface. It’s actually a ceramic engine enamel I think. Great stuff, dries quick. Photo of my '53 with Camaro sub frame, booster, etc.

Both of the above look nice. I've used eastwood's and was happy with the finish and, more importantly, its durability.

I know you mentioned it as expensive but the POR15 cast iron grey is amazing and will hold up even on exhaust manifolds. A little can of it goes a LONG way so the expense ins't so bad. (I've always used the brush on which dries perfect on cast surfaces).

After glass beading or sandblasting, try an engine flat clear.

I took apart a master cylinder and had it jet hot coated in the past, works well.

I've used alot of castblast paint...not sure how it would hold up to brake fluid...whatever you use needs to be resistant to bf...

Calyx cream manifold dressing works well. Easy to apply with an old toothbrush and never cracks or peels. Reapply as needed without removing the part. Here’s my 230ci intake manifold with Calyx. The exhaust manifold has black wood stove cream dressing. My manifold still looks great 8 months later without any touch up (so far).

I used the duplicolor cast coat spray paint on my dads entire 292. Looks great. I also used a clear coat that's rated for engine use on the master cylinder for my dads 64 c10. The clear coat kind of darkened the master cylinders natural appearance but is much more pleasing to look at than rust. I ended up using Nevrdull polish on the zinc chromate master cylinder cover. So theres gonna be dome upkeep involved with the polished items versus the painted stuff.
