Bench seat for my 64
This seat is advertised as a 1973 - 1987 Chevy Truck Seat. (Good Price)
Is this a easy install & fit in my 64 Fleetside What mods are needed ? Will I need to use 60-66 seat tracks ? |

Re: Bench seat for my 64
I think the first seat I ever bought was one like that. Eventually I found the full foam seat and repaired the springs, powder coated the frame and now I think I'm happy. They are out there waiting for someone to rescue them.

Attached is a picture of a similar seat, not mine, showing the springs I need for repair. Can these springs be bought ? |

Re: Bench seat for my 64
Ya that's the standard seat. The full foam unit has zig-zag seat springs. I had that one also. The seat backs are the same if that helps.

Re: Bench seat for my 64
If you want to go newer like from a 2006 Silverado you will get buckets as well as seat belts.
But then maybe you should also modify the steering shaft to the collapsible type. |
