66 Clutch Linkage Bellcrank
Still working on the 292 I6 to 350 V8 swap. I have all the parts to rebuild the bellcrank (felt washers, plastic cups, etc).
Next question: I have the stock bellcrank from the 292 / factory 4 speed, I'm assuming this will work with the V8? I also have the engine side bracket that spans the 2 large holes with the integral ball stud off of a 71 C10. On the 66 swap, will I use this bracket/ballstud combo, or will the ball stud screw directly into one of the 2 threaded holes in the block? If so, which hole, the front or rear? Thanks! |

Re: 66 Clutch Linkage Bellcrank
Yes you will use the same bellcrank. No you will not use the bracket with ballstud from the 292. You need a ball stud with threads to install into the forward hole in the 350 block. This is assuming that you have installed the small block in the correct rear location.

Re: 66 Clutch Linkage Bellcrank
Thanks Cap! I do have the threaded ball stud and I'll install in the front hole in place of the ballstud and bracket I took off the 71 307 V8.
