Re: Center A/C vent
The Grill has two posts that go through the box, then the hose attaches to the box.

Re: Center A/C vent
There are 2 pieces to the center vent. The part you see on the dash and then the part inside the dash. The part you see has 2 studs made into it that go through holes on the plastic part behind the dash with nuts which sandwich the dash between them. Then the two hoses that connect it to the inside dash box on the passenger side of the truck.

Re: Center A/C vent
I think they are 1/4" 20 studs. Some all thread rod should do the trick.

Re: Center A/C vent
I found with mine that if I balanced on my head and placed both feet into the rear corners of the cab it would leave my hands free to do the work. The system had to be designed by someone wearing a shirt and tie.. Good luck.

A shirt and tie , YES . Try working under the dash of a 69 mustang , with air and all those Vacume actuators .

Re: Center A/C vent
The biggest problem is the word FORD. With the Chevy's there is no room for actuators, it's more of a balancing act problem. Mine needs a shot of R12 but I can do that standing up. Have a good one eh.
