1965 C30 Dump
Well, just picked up this 1965 C30 with dump on it and gonna start tearing into it. According to the guy I bought it from it has:
What I’m going to start with:
Update 8/15/19 Well had a chance to work on the truck last night and decided to give the dump a try. The guy I bought it off of told me that the dump when engaged would try to lift but the passenger side cylinder was bent which he had rebuilt. According to him the PTO shaft was hooked up to the wrong (upper) input shaft on the pump. I switched the pto driveline to the other shaft with no success, unhooked the cable to the valve and moved it by hand. No matter what I tried I was getting no movement and it wasn’t whining. It has a pretty major leak around the inputs so the next step is to pull the pump, identify it and possibly rebuild. Last edited by Ironoar; 08-16-2019 at 09:49 AM. |
