WTB: original 64-66 windshield non-tint
Hey folks,
A huge rock got kicked up into my windshild and cracked it. So I would like to find an original windshield to replace it, if I can. I'm looking for a clear, non-tinted windshield, hopefully local to Southern California. Thanks!

Thanks bhap. I know I can buy a new one from a number of different retailers. But I'm hoping to get an original one with the original printing in the corner.

Still looking? Might have one I'll check in the next few days. If I do I'll be down in Norwalk for the long weekend

Re: WTB: original 64-66 windshield non-tint
I have for many years been one of the most annoyingly OCD people on the planet where attention to detail goes; insisting on every little and un-important detail be just as it was from the factory. I am still that way, but I have learned that my OCD nature is wholly self-serving, and not in any way something the public at large will ever give me an once of respect for. The onlookers and car / cruise show crowd have drifted farther and farther year over year from a once dense knowledge base of people who did notice, did care and did give props for details, to where now even having the right interior seat fabric is almost not worth doing except to serve yourself.
I said all that to tell you that LOF and E-Z-Eye, Soft Ray etc corner logos only mean something to you - the most anal of show judges will never even give that a second glance, and old glass looks like **** compared to new. Spare yourself the wasted gasket money installing old glass and go ahead and grab a new one when you do it. Better for you, the next owner, and the value of the truck. Just me two cents

Re: WTB: original 64-66 windshield non-tint
Now you're really looking for a needle in a haystack. Part of that printing is a date code. So if you really want to be correct you not only need a good original, but one made within a few months prior to the truck's final assembly date.
