72 SWB Exhaust Hanger Pic

Hi all, have a 72 SWB I am installing a Pypes stainless exhaust system on. Was looking to see if anyone had some pictures on where they placed their exhaust hangers? This system has a x pipe.

Thanks
Eddie

Re: 72 SWB Exhaust Hanger Pic

I did not use the x-pipe because I wanted cutouts and there is not room for both. I will see if I have pics of the install.

Re: 72 SWB Exhaust Hanger Pic

Hard to see the hangers but they are attached to the crossmember just behind the mufflers. I also used the stainless straps that I cut off and attached them to the trailing arm crossmember, but I don’t have pics of that. I also have my exhaust tucked between the frame rails. The tail pipes are attached to the stock hanger behind the rear wheels. I used the factory hanger on the driver’s side that is riveted to the frame and made a mirror image of it and bolted it to the frame on the passenger side. The Pypes kit is for a long bed so you will need to cut some of the pipes to fit the SWB. Hope this helps. If I find more pics I will post them.
