Bolt size info 48 chevy wood bed

Getting ready to rebuild my wood bed in my 48 thriftmaster. I have the wood board cut size dimensions. And now need the bolt dimensions and number of them needed. I plan on going stainless. Thank you!

Doing the exact same thing now. you will need 56- 1/4 20 S.S. carriage bolts for the 7 metal strips. there are 8 holes in each metal strip.

Depending on your choice of wood thickness: 2" long bolts for stock. I am using 2- 1/2" and 3" SS bolts but by bed is modified from original.
