ijust ran my truck for 15 minutes then shut it off and tried to restart bot the stareter gust growls and doesnt really spin the engine but onece in a wile it will but i will seem like the batt its dead. the batt is reading like 14 volts but it just wont turn over. i really need help -kyle

Check your cable connections. If no change try hitting the silonoid with soimething metal and try again. Sometimes if the silonoid is going it will work a few more times by hitting it. You haven't messed with the timing have you?

Usually a solenoid will click-click-click, but not engage the starter if it's hot locked or going bad, won't it? If the solenoid is engaging (the starter's turning the engine), but it's not turning over normally, odds are it's either the timing is too far advanced or you've just got a bad connection.

Fifteen minutes of running and then you kill it and immediately try to re-start it? Sure sounds like timing to me. Look for the obvious stuff first, but if that doesn't seem to help, you might try giving that dizzy a little clockwise twist and see if it helps.

Your solenoid could be drawing too much power. Put a multimeter on the bat while someone tries to start it. If it gets really low, your solenoid is bad.

it was timing shuddermutt hit the nail on the head i had way too much advance turned it down anfd she roared to life. thanks -kyle

all i can say is wow that thig sounds AWSOME i just slipped the flowmasters over the collecters and couldnt hear myself think in the cab. and the whole truck torqes when you get on it well worth the $3500 i have into it. -kyle
