A real K10 Survivor
I've been driving this one around for the last couple weeks and have been really impressed by it. Truck has been in Colorado all its life. First 25 years in Golden and the last 23 in the southwest corner of Colorado. Really a fantastic truck. Runs and drives great. Would be a great daily or a really easy restoration. More info and pictures in the "Trucks For Sale" area.

Re: A real K10 Survivor
Looks like a solid truck- why is it labeled as a survivor?

Re: A real K10 Survivor
Truck is a "real" K10 4X4 from the factory. There are a lot of the 1967-72 4X4s out there that were originally a c10 (two wheel drive) and someone put it on a 4 wheel drive chassis. Most of the time a newer chassis.
Truck is a "survivor" in my opinion because it has all of its original sheetmetal. Original floor, cab supports, cab corners, outer rockers and tailgate. My experience has been most of the 1967-72 trucks and those here in Colorado need floors, cab supports, cab corners, inner and outer rocker rust repair.

Re: A real K10 Survivor
I agree with soco, many of the ebay 4wd trucks are on 2wd frames, many on craigslist too are on 2wd frames also.
Btw, very nice truck. |

Re: A real K10 Survivor
Yep me too. real K’s really are getting hard to find. Especially in original sheet metal and no rust, repaint or not that’s a good find in my book.

Re: A real K10 Survivor
Nice looking K10 but agree with the mirrors just look wrong. The "Sport" mirrors or base mirrors would be a far better choice. I prefer the below the eye line or the larger swing out camper mirrors like I have on my K10.
Replaced the sheet metal as needed from found examples at swap meets, salvage yards, etc. Did use original GM rocker panels, after market cab corners, floor and cab supports. Tailgate from GMC Paul, fits well and is sturdy like an original. Truck had been "rode hard and put away wet" several times thru the years before I acquired it. Lots of work but I wanted a 67-72 K model for sure. VIN and frame #s match up for a St. Louis build K model. Agree the real Ks are hard to find even the tired and used trucks needing work.
