How do you take the bed of of a 68? SWB

Undo the nuts & bolts attaching to the frame and getting a buddy to help you take it off. Don't forget the tail light and license plate wires.

on my 1976 i found i was able to remove the bolts on all but three of the mounts i had to use a dremel to cut the nut in two spots on the other ones and crack em off then me and my 16 year old lifted the bed off it was easier to drop the rear bumper off first and we unclipped the harness

I used a engine hoist and a couple of straps. You can also take the bed apart piece by piece. It's a little lighter that way but you didn't say why you were removing it. You also didn't mention if it is a wood or steel floor.

I had better luck tightening the bolts till they broke off it was easier than trying to loosen them!

6.44 1/8 @ 104.13
10.39 1/4 @ 125.83

Nitrous Times:
5.785 1/8 @ 118.65 with a 1.336 60ft
9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!

Mine were stuck and did nothave a torch. So an angle grinder and fifteen minutes the bed was free. I removed it myself since it was a junk bed. Heaved ho and it was flipped over

i had the wheels off,so i was able to slide it onto a moveable table i built.i was able to remove it and install it myself

I used an engine hoist and a rope...took it off by myself....I actually did get some help to put it back on after I painted it
