Re: Ugly steering wheel.

I had one in my 66 Chevelle. It made it way faster than putting lightning bolts on it.

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

I had one in my custom van in high school almost 40 years ago... I like to think it was cool back then. I bet Grant loves them!

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

It's a retro thing? That makes sense. That's why I don't understand it. I was not around then. I think it aged badly anyway.

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

I agree, and unfortunately my truck has one that one of the previous owners put on. Eventually, I'll replace it with something else, but since it works, I'm not in a hurry to spend money on another one when I have other things to fix.

The only difference with mine, is it's black. So, doesn't quite stand out as bad as the chrome version.

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

I like this aftermarket steering wheel. If I did not have a pritty good 67 steering wheel in my 71 I would go this route over that grant one or any other one for that matter.

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

Those GT wheels are dirt cheap, and probably the biggest reason there are so many of them on cars and trucks.

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

Like so many things we put on our rides it really is dependent on the eye of the owner. There are a lot of trucks on this board that are wonderful builds except .... Insert whatever you want.

I don't see any reason to call people out on their tastes, even if its not as good as my taste haha!

Re: Ugly steering wheel.

I really like my Forever Sharp wheel, but wish it was just a little bigger in diameter.

Talking Re: Ugly steering wheel.

My ugly wheels.

My 71 wheel. 67 Chevelle SS with a leather wrap I did myself.
The old corvette wheel in the ramp truck.
The 3 spoke wood wheel I just bought off e bay for $85.00 going in my daughters 68 stepper.
The 2 spoke I had plan to use in the ramp truck but ended up in my 64 SS Impala.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
