The DG4's were 72 only and have shorter arms than what looks like was on your truck..

do you have photo of them on the truck, that would help determine length....my original 69 build sheet shows dg4 option code....hmmmm

Re: wtb: dg4 mirrors , clearance lights ,c30 etc

Someone correct me if I'm wrong -- DG4 mirrors were available on '67-'71 trucks with the upper arm shown in Jeff's pics (post #8). 1972 trucks also had DG4s but the upper arm was different, and lower mounting points *may* have been different than on '67-'71s.

Here's a pic of a '72 DG4 for comparison to Jeff's mirrors. The lowers are shorter also. Plenty more pics on the site if you do a search.

Re: wtb: dg4 mirrors , clearance lights ,c30 etc

My K20 is a '72 but I prefer the look of the '67-'71 DG4s and I found a set. When the truck eventually gets paroled from paint prison, that's what it will be wearing.
The following pic is not my truck, but the mirrors are the same and the medium olive paint and white roof is the same.

No worries, we all learn things on this board, which is part of what makes it so great.

I knew nothing about DG4s until last year when I did a ton of research trying to decide which mirrors I wanted.

Re: wtb: dg4 mirrors , clearance lights ,c30 etc

If you need new elbows to replace rusted ones, I found elbows at NAPA, p/n 97869. They are 4.50" x 3.75" which I believe is same as original. I didn't have the correct acorn nuts so rather than using studs, I used the stainless bolts and fiber washers that came with the elbows. Good enough for a working truck, plenty of other things on my rig are not 100% correct.
