I was taking some parts/knobs off a stock 67-72 AM radio that doesn't work.
Removed the face plate and noticed the burned out light bulb.
Saw that it's installed from the rear of the box, just pops right out.
Never knew it was this easy to replace. Gonna buy a couple off Ebay to keep around,
install a new one anytime I put a radio back in the dash.
Bulb is # 1893.

Thanks that helped me out. My bulb burnt out but did know the number.the radio don't work but the did light up

I wonder if an LED would work in there. Would need one that didn't get too hot.

LEDs don't get hot like that so no worries. The LED bulb number is BA9. I believe the BA9 works in the heater & a/c control panels as well.

Those look like they would fit.
I'd like to see one installed, how it looks at night,
how the 'white light' looks and how bright it is.

Hay 68 P.O.S. do they make a LED bulb to replace the inst. cluster bulbs?

Yes, they make 194 bulbs in LED as well

Dont buy the ebay/amazon leds. They don't last vary long and are poorly made. Spend the exta bit if you can. It will save you the headach latter on. Other wise just stay with stock.

I got these in my truck and bought em off Amazon. Dont worry about the pricing shown as its a Canadian price and we get ripped off on everything .
