Shorter antenna.

Anyone have a source or part number for a shorter radio antenna? I am looking for one that is 3-5” shorter than the factory antenna on my 2011. I don’t want one of those stubby rubber antennas.

Re: Shorter antenna.

Only shorter ones I have ever come across are the stubby black ones. Heck, I had a heck of a time finding a stock antenna.

Re: Shorter antenna.

Yea. That’s all I could find so far. I cleaned out my garage and the truck fits, but the antenna hitting every panel of the garage door is kind of annoying.

Re: Shorter antenna.

I just bought a '14 Silverado and I was searching for the same thing. A few people on a different forum recommended this

That looks like one of the short rubber ones I don’t want.

Re: Shorter antenna.

First thought would be just to cut it, I got one that looks just like this one for my 2013 silverado and it works good. I forget the brand but it came with many adaptors. looks exactly like this one. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mast-Whip...-New/491991913

Re: Shorter antenna.

I bought the one that was recommended a few posts up:

https://www.amazon.com/AntennaMastsR...ado+antenna+21

It works great, looks factory, and it doesn’t hit my garage when I park.

Re: Shorter antenna.

When I bought my 2013 second hand I had terrible fm, shortly after I realized there was no antenna haha. I went to a local auto parts store and found a shorty with adaptors. love it, works good, looks good. yup. Certainly no issues with reception.
