Re: seat belt mount

Here's how I did mine. No, it's not an AD truck it's a '55.2 Task Force but the same basic idea should work. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't locate the hole dead center on the pillar. it prevents the shoulder belt from hanging correctly. The belt tends to bunch up on one side of the metal it goes through....which gums up the inertia reel. Not a big deal but I'd prefer if it worked smoother.

Re: seat belt mount

I just reached in behind the double wall of the cab to place the pad. Make sure you don't drop it or you'll never get it out!

Re: seat belt mount

miracle pie: I was looking at mounting the top point like you did but I think that would put the chest belt across my neck. I haven't test fit the belt yet.

Re: seat belt mount

I dfid mine like miraclepie. I sat up in the truck like I was driving. Made vroom vroom noises and everything. And held the belt across my chest just where I wanted it and marked the spot. Bottom already mounted, and belt buckled across my lap first.

I did drop a nut plate behind driver side....

Re: seat belt mount

Here's a write up on the install process. Juliano's is a popular aftermarket seatbelt company
