1972 c10 seat belts
Was there a option for shoulder harnesses?? My truck was purchased new in 72 by my grandfather and I noticed up in the back top of the cab is plugged holes that looks like it could be for a shoulder harnesses... Just wondering because I have never seen any and I dont recall seeing any for sale in the lmc book.....

Re: 1972 c10 seat belts
I have never seen any original ones and I suspect they were rare as hen's teeth. There are some good aftermarket shoulder belts available and they use the anchor point under that plastic plug.

As Stocker said, they are a very rare option. They are almost like another set of lap belts but with the male ends attached to the B pillars. Below are pictures of a set (with some spare parts in the center) and the page from the Assembly Manual showing the installation.

Re: 1972 c10 seat belts
With a bit of ingenuity you could clone some from lap belts. Start reading this thread at post 16. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=455323 Tough part is the boots.
If not concerned about originality, you can buy new 3-point style on the parts board. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=657298 |

https://www.mattsclassicbowties.com/ also has some popular belts. I haven't checked but I bet there are other aftermarket suppliers with 'em.
