Motor mounts
My 1971 c20 came to me with no engine. I’ve bought a 1973 c10 (rust/rusty/rustiest!) to use for parts. Will the motor mounts be the same or different? Probably a stupid question but I’d like to be prepared when it comes out so it can go right into the other.
Thanks for your help, Greg

Re: Motor mounts
Pretty sure that '73s came with the clam shell mounts. Go look at the picture catalog(s) at LMC. They are quite informative!

Re: Motor mounts
Use the square body frame stands as the clamshells are a lot easier to install the motor and you can’t physically break a motor mount like the factory ones. If I remember the top holes line up and the lowers you’ll have to drill the crossmember. Also I think the 3/4 and 1 ton square body frame stands need spacers on the upper frame rail but the 1/2 ton I think fits flush. I know for a fact because I have a set on my truck and a frame I sold.
