I got in stealth car this morning and took off to Maryhill Museum on the Columbia south of Goldendale to this years edition of the Concour de Maryhill.

I followed truck towing a heavy duty trailer with a green (used to be green) AD on it up Satus pass and made a stop at the Monastery coffee shop (a real Monastery) and filled my mug an got a goodie and off to the show.

First Chevy truck was the 60/62 short stepside that was nicely done.

The red/Maroon AD was very nice with a lot of tricks including an Fitech unit and a very trickily shaped fender strut that looped around the booster and master cylinder.

The Blue 69 Stepside is in a world of it's own. More tricks than you can imagine and more trick stuff than you can imagine.
Zebra wood in the bed and dash and inlaid in the door panels.

How about a nice little Pearl yellow chopped AD? This is a nice truck. No super fancy stuff but one nice sanitary truck with a good paint job and nice interior.

A very nice Aussie and a couple of shots of the view from the Museum grounds.

That's two barge loads of wheat headed under the bridge at Biggs Junction.

A couple of the engines in the a pair of cars entered in the hill climb tomorrow and #16 has one loud and nasty sounding small block Chevy in it.

Last is the FI engine in a Corvette that has been a race car for decades

For those who might want to see the rest of the story. The race cars had driven from the hill climb pits to the museum a distance of around five miles one way as they do at noon every year. Some real interesting rigs with highly modified engines.

There were 3 split bumper 71 Camaros there, two in the show and one out in the parking lot that was more than show worthy.

The last few photos of the river and hills were taken just below Stonehenge the nearly exact copy of Stonehenge in England. This one was built as a WWI memorial and has been cleaned up a lot lately. I didn't stop and take photos yesterday though as I was headed down to the town of Maryhill to go to a fruit stand to buy a quart of Strawberry Rhubarb pie mix and a few peaches.

Very nice Mr48chevy.I am sorry I did not make it,but was 100miles away putting truck in storage. Maybe I could just drive up your way one day to get tailgate.

It was a good day, More more interesting cars and trucks than some years And the 60's and 70's US cars that showed up were interesting cars like the row of Big Block Fords That all had the factory performance goodies on the engines.

I get to Goldendale and around there every once in a while for one of Amie's estate sales or to watch my cousin's grandson play ball. But I am easy to find here too as my place is the first house north of the Happy face barrel at Toppenish. The barrel is at my Mom's place.
