Identifying relay?
While I was replacing the hydro boost unit, I had to remove a couple of the relays to get access to the firewall. Can anyone help identify what these relays are for? Thank you.

Re: Identifying relay?
The round lump is one of the two flasher modules. The other is on the fuse box. One is for the turn signals, and the other is for the hazards. I don't remember which is which.
That rusty metal bracket also holds the buzzer that yells at you for leaving keys in the ignition. That's probably the white squarish thing. I don't know what the shiny metal/plastic thing with the blue and orange wires is.

Re: Identifying relay?
The second one with the two plugs is the power locks relay. Usually attached above the brake pedal.
Edit: The system grounds through the metal case. So if your locks stopped working, you need to re attach it to something metal or add a ground wire to it. |

Re: Identifying relay?
If the big silver can is stamped 14056552 on the tab it's the power lock relay.
25237003 is a horn relay. Google the part #. The round metal cans of that size are usually flasher relays. Either hazard or turnsignal. Which one may be marked on the socket under the edge of the relay itself. The seatbelt, key, headlight buzzer is rectangular. It plugs into the slot marked buzzer and it's completely missing... You have the gray cluster lamp wire in the buzzer socket so... If you get the T63 Light Minder option buzzer it'll buzz when you leave the headlights on. Here's the thread about the T63 Light Minder option. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=763202

The reason most of them are removed is the seatbelt nag. If you don't want the seatbelt nag enabled just remove the wire at the relay block that comes from the driver side belt.
