Placement Of In Bed Spare Tire Bracket

I'm in the process of adding my in bed spare tire carrier bracket. I've seen the pics of what bolts etc to use, just no info on how far from the front of the bed towards the rear wheel well on the drivers side. Any pics with measurements would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Placement Of In Bed Spare Tire Bracket

I found that the bed side had the square holes punched thru bottom angle for the spare bracket, 4 inches or so apart, but not in the bed floor, drill thru bed floor, and bolt on bracket...This was on a 71 long bed....your results may vary.

Yes I do have the spare. It is on the original rim that came with the truck. It is a 6 lug wheel and the truck is a short bed. Thanks

Thank you for the pictures. Would these measurements vary depending on whether it is a long bed or short. It is going behind the driver in front of the wheel well. Thanks again.

That's whare my factory one is be hide driver in frount of wheel well. My mesuements for a long bed. So I don't think it will be the same for a short bed. Maby the same distance from the wheel well but not same from stake pockets.
