Building a sliding gate

If this is in the wrong area please feel free to move it.

A guy down the street is building a shop before me! Just got the frame up, very jealous. A couple months ago he had a new fence installed and a nice sliding gate too. Building is right behind the gate.

So I got to thinking I'd like to build a gate too. Currently have a split gate about 9 feet wide. Real tight fit to pull in from the alley but it isn't used often but now that my truck runs I want to park it in the back. I'm thinking maybe 15 feet wide. Roll on two V track wheels. So only a tad bigger than opening to stay in the guide rollers. Let's call it 16 feet. 6 foot tall. Sheet metal covering.

My question is in material size. What do you guys think about this?

2x2 square tubing 1/8 thickness. Two vertical pieces 5 feet apart and one horizontal bar at the half way mark.
