where to get cowl hood?
who has the best prices on steel cowl hoods? I want one that comes finished black. The paint is peeling on my hood and i want to just replace it with a cowl hood instead of getting it repainted.
Thanks, -Nick

I would look into a Goodmark cowl hood. I hear they are one of the best for quality and fit and they are finished in a black electrostatic primer. They are priced within the others, but shipping is the killer. Try and find a local dealer that stocks them and save some $$$'s. Go to their website and find the closest dealer to your location.

without painting youre gonna have to find one thats for sale privately and used ya could post requests on parts boards here and on other boards. Id break down and buy a new one and find out how much it would cost to have one painted to match your truck, lots of times places like maaco will do that for ya in the winter cause theyre starving then

Well, seeing the customclassics is shipped from GA, and knowing where mine comes from, both are Goodmark hoods.

In reality all of the steel cowl hoods are the same whether it's Goodmark, Reflexxion, etc. The stamp is just different on the underside for the manufacturer. The primer on those is good, but I wouldn't want to let on sit out in the elements for too long without paint. Like any primer it will dull, peel, and rust eventually.
